29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i): A program of periodic and regular inspections of mechanical power presses was not established and followed to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment and safeguards were in a safe operating condition and adjustment. The employer did not maintain a certification record of inspections which included the date of the inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and the serial number, or other identifier, of the power press that was inspected. a) Production Floor, 204 Franklin Valley Road, Dalton, PA - A program of periodic and regular inspections of all parts, auxiliary equipment and safeguards had not been established and followed which allowed full revolution mechanical power presses to be operated daily without effective guarding, such as but not limited to the 1 (Number on masking tape - unknown manufacturer/no identification plate) and 8000 S-007 (Number on tape - unknown manufacturer/no identification plate) exposing employees to caught-in and caught-between hazards, on or about May 16, 2016. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), abatement certification and documentation is required for this violation.
