29 CFR 1910.107(g)(2): Cleaning. All spraying areas shall be kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary. Scrapers, spuds, or other such tools used for cleaning purposes shall be of nonsparking material. a. On or about June 26, 2013, in the two (2) touch up powder coating spray areas, combustible residues had accumulated throughout the work area exposing employees to hazards associated with combustible dust. Cleaning operations were not conducted daily in all areas including but not limited to underneath the platforms where employees worked.
