29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: A.) American Turned Products, Inc., on or about 3/27/25 and times prior thereto: The tongue guard for the DEWALT DW758 8-inch grinder was not positioned above the grinding wheel. B.) American Turned Products, Inc., Maintenance Shop, on or about 3/27/25 and times prior thereto: the tongue guard for the Dayton 4Z909B 8-inch grinder was positioned 1/2 inch away from the grinding wheel. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
