29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2): General requirements for machine guards. Guards shall be affixed to the machine where possible and secured elsewhere if for any reason attachment to the machine is not possible. The guard shall be such that it does not offer an accident hazard in itself. On or about June 11, 2024, at an establishment located at N4056 Vine Road, in Freedom, Wisconsin, in Freedom 2 Area: (a) Tables 1 and 2 had a discharge auger which led to the Cepex pump which was not secured exposing employees to entanglement hazards. (b) Tables 3 to 6 had a discharge auger which led to the Cepex pump which was not secured exposing employees to entanglement hazards.
