29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(ii)(A): Inspections and tests of each press on a weekly basis were not being completed to determine the condition of the clutch/ brake mechanism, anti-repeat feature and single stroke mechanism. a. On or about February 15, 2024; in the CNC area, employees were operating a 12-ton mechanical power press without the employer having inspected, tested and documented the condition of the clutch/brake mechanism, anti-repeat feature on a weekly basis as required by the standard., exposing employees to amputation hazards.
