29 CFR 1910.141(a)(5): Enclosed workplaces were not so constructed, equipped, and maintained as to prevent the entrance or harborage of rodents, insects, or other vermin, and a continuing and effective extermination program was not instituted where their presence was detected. a) 3008 Penns Valley Pike, Centre Hall, PA 16828, wastewater pumphouse break area - Rodent feces were located in and around the microwave, refrigerator, and food storage area which are used by the employees. The employer did not have an effective vermin control program to prevent the entrance and harborage of rodents and insects. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
