29 CFR 1926.1425(c): When employees are engaged in hooking, unhooking, or guiding the load, or in the initial connection of a load to a component or structure and are within the fall zone, all of the following criteria must be met: 29 CFR 1926.1425(c)(3):The materials must be rigged by a qualified rigger. a. Mingo's Construction LLC located at 860 Jaeger Street, Columbus, OH 43206: On or about October 4, 2023, during the construction of a mixed-use (commercial/residential) building, employees were engaged in the rigging of building materials such as bundles of OSB sheathing and hoisting the material within the fall zone throughout the site with the use of a tower crane. The employer did not ensure the materials being lifted were rigged by a qualified rigger. The following condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.
