29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail and one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge. Location - 61 Dunstar Road, Bedford, MA. On or about August 23, 2023, nine employees were ascending and descending stairwells that did not have at one railing. Instance A) August 23, 2023, eight employees were ascending and descending a stairwell from first floor to second floor of the house that had no railing. Instance B) September 27, 2023, an employee was ascending and descending a stairwell from the second floor to the third floor that had no railing.
