29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: On and/or before July 11, 2023, the employer used extension cords and surge protectors to power various pieces of equipment. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to electrical shock and/or fire hazard(s). In the following locations: a) Laundry room two extension cords were spliced together and one end terminated in an outlet box. The outlet box was powering an Amana air conditioner unit. b) Laundry room two ends of an extension cord were cut and tied into the hot water heater circulation pump system. c) Lobby storage room had an extension cord plugged into a surge protector to power a microwave and coffee maker.
