29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(6): Unsecured ladder(s) were used on surfaces that were not stable and level: a) 30 Wilson Avenue, New Square, NY: On or about 5/31/23, an unsecured extension ladder that was not on stable and level ground was used by to access the roof level from the ground level. b) 50 Wilson Avenue, New Square, NY: On or about 6/7/23, an unsecured extension ladder that was not on stable and level ground was used by an employee to access and climb into a 3rd floor wall opening from the ground level. Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
