29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a. On or about 19 April 2023, at Panamerican Dock II, San Juan, PR, longshoring employees were not provided information and training on the hazards of exposure to carbon monoxide during RO/RO ((roll-on/roll-off) operations while removing cars from inside vessel to marine terminal. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
