29 CFR 1910.178(q)(1): Any power-operated industrial truck not in safe operating condition was not taken out of service, and/or repairs were not made by authorized personnel: a) On February 23, 2023, and prior to; multiple forklifts were found to be in need of repair during daily inspections but had not been taken out of service. Forklifts are used by employees to move pallets of bagged potting and garden soils, bark, mulches and decorative stone from the bagging stations to staging areas on the interior and exterior of the production building.
