29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees engaged in the recycling of metal scrap from manufacturing used an overhead crane to support a train card loading door in the up/elevated position using a hook that did not have a latch hook to secure the load. a. 135 National Road, Edison, NJ - Train car hoist The employer did not ensure that latch hooks for overhead cranes were provided. Employees engaged in the manufacture of metal can products used an overhead crane where latch hook was missing on the latch to secure the load. Violation observed on or about April 7, 2022
