29 CFR 1926.62(i)(2)(i): The employer did not provide clean change areas as an interim protection for employees performing tasks as specified in 29 CFR 1926.62(d)(2), without regard to the use of respirators: (a) On or about July 15, 2021 and many times prior to July 15, 2021, employees were exposed to the recognized hazard of lead during the performance of their job duties, including cutting and torch burning (with oxygen/ propane gases) of rivet heads, cross members and upper laterals with lead containing paint at Nisqually River Bridge 25.3. The employer did not provide employees with change areas as a measure to provide interim protection from lead exposures. Such exposures are likely to lead to the development of serious illnesses such as, but not limited to high blood pressure, declines in mental functioning, pain, numbness or tingling of the extremities, muscular weakness, headache, abdominal pain, memory loss, mood disorders, reproductive organ harm.
