29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9):The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: Employees engaged in maintenance activities at Pedestal grinders in that the tongue guard wasn't adjusted to 1/4 of a inch from the grinding wheel, exposing employees to struck by and caught in hazards in the following instances: 1) Kill Floor: JET Pedestal Grinder tongue guard was adjust at 9/16 of inch. 2) Fabrication Maintenance Shop: Powergrind Pedestal grinder tongue was adjust at 1 inch.
