29 CFR 1910.184(e)(3)(i):A thorough periodic inspection of alloy steel chain slings was not made on a regular basis and/or were done at intervals greater than once every 12 months: Throughout the facility, employees engaged in material handling activities were exposed to a struck-by hazard from a falling load when using a alloy steel chain sling attached to a Dayton Hoist without being thoroughly inspected at least once every 12 months. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at time of inspection, no certification is required.
