29 CFR 1910.138(b): The employer did not base selection of appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the tasks to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified: a) Carcoustics USA South Inc., Buford, GA - Employees utilizing utility knives to cut foam at the laminator, were not provided with cut resistant gloves, on or about 1/22/20. b) Carcoustics USA South Inc., Buford, GA - Employees removing parts from the hot presses were not provided with gloves that resisted heat of 235 degrees Celsius. The gloves provided were good for up to 125 degrees Celsius, on or about 1/22/20.
