29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning. Compressed air shall not be used for cleaning purposes except where reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment. a) On or about 12/18/2019 the employer did not properly reduce the PSI for the compressed air utilized by employees for the cleaning of themselves or equipment exposing employees to hazards associated with compressed air measured at greater than 30 PS1. Test locations as follows: Test location #1 was at the Plasma Cutter, it measured at 60 PSI.
