29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Location: Facility On or about January 10, 2019, employees who operated the following alligator shears at the facility were not protected from the accidental actuation and unintended operation by stepping onto the foot pedal switch and were exposed to laceration and amputation hazards. 1. Aluminum processing area: Gensco alligator shear 2 and 3. Copper processing area: Two Gensco alligator shears, model #T4 4. Copper processing area: Constellation, model #1.5, copper alligator shear.
