29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): A) J.H. Routh Packing Company, located at 4413 West Bogart Road, Sandusky, OH 44870: On or about October 25, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the point of operation of the Comb I (rollers station # 2), located at the Casing Line, was adequately guarded. Employees were exposed to hazards that could result in amputations in that employees were able to reach through an opening of approximately 2.75 inches into the rollers (point of operation).
