29 CFR 1910.29(b)(14): Guardrail systems on ramps and runways were not installed on each unprotected side or edge: a) In the shredder motor room: On or about April 10, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approx. 11 ft. to the floor, in that the upper-landing platform lacked guardrails as employees performed maintenance activities including lubrication. b) On the shredder-machine platform: On or about April 10, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approx. 20 ft. to the ground, in that a guardrail system was lacking as employees accessed the platform to clean debris, among other duties.
