29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer did not provide, and ensure each employee used, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces. a) Top of auger housing: On or about September 25, 2017 and times prior, employees used stood on an auger housing pipe to clear jams from the auger chute. The employer did not provide a safe means of access to the pipe in that employees had to climb up 34 inches to the top of the pipe or climb up and around the back of a nearby fixed ladder.
