29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iv): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, did not bring an employee to a complete stop and/or and did not limit maximum deceleration distance to 3.5 feet (1.07 m): a) South side of roof, east end, on or about 7-20-17: Four employees were working at the edge of a barrel roof, with a personal fall arrest system that was rigged such that the deceleration distance was greater than 3.5 feet, exposing the employees to a fall hazard of 26 feet 3 inches to the ground below. b) South side of roof, east end, on or about 7-20-17: Four employees were working at the edge of a barrel roof, with a personal fall arrest system that was rigged such that the deceleration distance was greater than 3.5 feet, exposing the employees to a fall hazard of 10 feet 8 inches to a roof below.
