29 CFR 1926.503(c)(3): 29 CFR 1926.503(c)(3): When inadequacies in an affected employee's knowledge or use of fall protection systems or equipment indicate that the employee has not retained the requisite understanding or skill, the employer shall retrain the affected employee. a. On or about October 13, 2016 one employee had affixed his personal fall arrest lanyard to a piece of 1/2" steel rebar on the structure. The employee did not understand the ineffective mounting point for his fall protection lanyard.
