29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(ii): Training. Employee training shall include at least: The physical, health, simple asphyxiation, combustible dust, and pyrophoric gas hazards, as well as hazards not otherwise classified, of the chemicals in the work area. a) Employees working on production lines using powder 2-stage phenolic resin or liquid single stage phenolic resin and fiberglass roving are told the skin rashes and skin irritation is caused by the fiberglass. The employer is not providing hazard communication training that the powder 2-stage phenolic resin and liquid single stage phenolic resin are identified as skin sensitizers and may cause skin allergic reactions; or that prolonged or repeated exposure to powder 2-stage phenolic resin or liquid single stage phenolic resin can lead to heart, liver, kidney, central nervous system (CNS) or respiratory issues.
