29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) On or about July 27, 2016 and continuing thereafter, at work site at 46-10 61st Street and other properties in Big Six Towers complex, Woodside, NY 11377 The employer had not provided hazard communication training despite having employees such as porters and handymen who were required to work with or be exposed to hazardous chemicals and substances including, but not limited to, asbestos-containing materials such as floor tile and pipe insulation (carcinogen), Kleen-Strip Paint Thinner (flammable, toxic), gasonline (flammable) and Krylon spray paints (flammable). ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
