29 CFR 1910.157(d)(2): Portable fire extinguishers for use on Class A fires were not distributed so that the travel distance for employees to any extinguisher was 75 feet or less: (a) Mill Area: On or about October 21, 2015, and times prior, in the event of a fire employees working in the sawmill must travel up to 120 feet, cross over or behind the log carriage, navigate between stacks of lumber and sawmill equipment, walk/run over floors that are uneven and not in good repair to access a class ABC fire extinguisher located in the front of the mill and inside a tool shed.
