29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: (a) Roof Over Front Porch: An employee was installing siding on a residence under construction from a 6 foot fiberglass step ladder that was in the closed position and leaned against the residence. The employer has not provided a training program for the employee to recognize the hazard of using a step ladder in the closed, leaned position in lieu of being used as designed in the open and locked position, as determined on April 1, 2015. Abatement Certification Required for this Item.
