29 CFR 1910.157(c)(4): Portable fire extinguishers were not kept in their designated places at all times except during use: a) At the recycling facility in Unadilla, GA: On or about November 12, 2014, and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed employees to fire hazards, in that three discharged portable fire extinguishers were not maintained in operable condition while employees relied on these for use during incipient-fire incidents. b) At the recycling facility in Unadilla, GA: On or about November 12, 2014, and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed employees to fire hazards, in that three operational portable fire extinguishers were positioned on a filing cabinet instead of their designated places while employees relied on these for use during incipient-fire incidents.
