29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): (a) Meat Department: A personal protective equipment (PPE) assessment had not been conducted on site to determine the PPE required to be worn by employees to protect them from hazards including, but not limited, hand lacerations while changing the meat band saw blade as determined on January 31, 2014.
