29 CFR 1910.26(c)(2)(vii): Ladders having defects were not marked and taken out of service until repaired. a. Newark Liberty Int'l Airport, Terminal A, Outbound Baggage Area, Conveyor (Sorter) Access Maintenance ladders were not maintained in a safe condition. Employees used a ladder to access the baggage conveyor catwalks which was broken/damaged at the base and not removed from service. Violation observed on or about April 9, 2014 b.
