29 CFR 1910.184(c)(14): Employers must not use slings without affixed and legible identification markings: On or about April 24, 2012, and at times prior thereto, the employer was in use of two alloy steel chain slings that did not have permanently affixed durable identification: a. Employees were in use of a 20 foot type SG grade 80 alloy steel chain sling that did not have a permanently affixed durable identification, exposing employees to a crushed by hazard. b. Employees were in use of a two part bridle alloy steel chain sling that did not have a permanently affixed durable identification, exposing employees to a crushed by hazard.
