Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1):Employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level by fall protection established in paragraphs (g)(1)(i)-(vii) of this section. Location: Worksite On or about March 19, 2025, employees were exposed to fall hazards of over 40 feet while working from the fabricated frame scaffolding to install a new copper downspout, where the employer did not ensure that fall protection was in place. The employer has previously been cited for not ensuring that fall protection was in place, as noted below: a) JOHN WILLIAM MASONRY BRS, LLC was previously cited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 1926.451(g)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1482471, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 1-4-2021, with respect to a workplace located at 10 Charlesgate East, Boston, MA 02115.
