Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring, motors, and other equipment outside of but within twenty (20) feet of any spray area, and not separated therefrom by partitions, produced sparks under normal operating conditions and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations: On or about January 29, 2025, the employer failed to ensure that electrical wiring within 20 feet of a spray area did not produce sparks and otherwise conformed to the provisions of subpart S for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations when several outlets and light switches were hanging right outside a spray booth when employees spray 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 2214 Regular mixed with Klean Strip Lacquer Thinner onto parts.
