29 CFR 1926.850(c): All electric, gas, water, steam, sewer, and other service lines were not shut off, capped, or otherwise controlled, outside the building line before demolition work was started, and the affected utility companies were not notified: On or about May 28, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that the natural gas utility company was notified prior to performing demolition operations that involved removing and/or relocating a natural gas service line. Additionally, the gas service line was not shut off, capped or otherwise controlled prior to performing demolition activities at a jobsite in the basement of a business and residential (mixed occupancy) building located at 47 Federal Plaza Central, Realty Tower, Youngstown, OH 44503.
