29 CFR 1910.184(d):Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: Employees engaged in material handling operations located at 14961 Shepard Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68138 were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the employer failed to appoint a person to inspect slings prior to use. This was most recently documented on or about May 24th, 2024, after an employee was struck due to a sling failing.
