29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: (a)On or about May 13, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not provide an adequate guard on the SawStop table saw that effectively guarded the exposed portion of the blade to prevent employees from having any part of their body in the danger zone during operating cycles. The guard was damaged and exposed approximately four inches of the blade. This condition exposed the employee to amputation hazards.
