29 CFR 1910.217(b)(1): Machine component(s) of mechanical power press(es) were not designed, secured, or covered to minimize hazards caused by breakage, or loosening and falling, or release of mechanical energy: a. On or about February 15, 2024; in the CNC area, employees were operating a 12-ton mechanical power press which had a point of operation guard that did not prevent the entry of hands or fingers into the point of operation and did not comply with the maximum permissible opening of Table O-10. , exposing employees to amputation hazards.
