29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(ii): First responders at the operational level did not receive at least eight hours of training or did not have sufficient experience to objectively demonstrate competency in the areas required by 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(ii)(A) through (q)(6)(ii)(F) and/or the employer did not so certify: On or about November 29, 2023, inside the shipping and receiving warehouse located at 6512 Blanchar's Crossing, Windsor, employees who were involved with the cleanup of the chemical spill of the ethyl acetate were not properly trained prior to conducting an operations level response in that they responded to an ethyl acetate release in a defensive matter and placed absorbent materials to contain the spill, and repositioned the barrel of ethyl acetate to keep the chemical from spreading and preventing exposures. The employees were involved with the cleanup did not have at least eight hours of training nor sufficient experience to to objectively demonstrate competency.
