29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i): A program of periodic and regular inspections of mechanical power press(es) was not established and followed to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment and safeguards were in a safe operating condition and adjustment: (a) On or about July 13, 2023, the employer did not develop, implement and certify a program for periodic and regular inspection of mechanical power presses, including but not limited to Bliss Mechanical Power Press (Model #21S; Machine #020 100) to ensure that all of its parts, auxiliary equipment, and safeguards, including the clutch/brake mechanism, anti-repeat feature, and single-stroke mechanism, are in a safe operating condition. This exposed employees to crushing and amputation hazards.
