29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1):Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems: On or about July 25, 2022, an employee was exposed to struck-by and caught-in hazards while working in and around a trench that had not been inspected by a competent person. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
