29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: (a) In the liquid manufacturing department, employees were exposed to splash hazards when transferring injurious caustic liquids including, but not limited to, 50% sodium hydroxide solution, to and from storage tanks, processing/blending tanks, and totes. Employees did not wear appropriate protective clothing such as a chemical suit or apron.
