29 CFR 1910.333(a): "General." Safety-related work practices shall be employed to prevent electric shock or other injuries resulting from either direct or indirect electrical contacts, when work is performed near or on equipment or circuits which are or may be energized. The specific safety-related work practices shall be consistent with the nature and extent of the associated electrical hazards. (a) On or about March 4, 2019, the employer did not ensure that safety related work practices were not in use when by employees exposed to direct or indirect electrical contacts when working near or on energized equipment or circuits such as but not limited to: testing the vacuum pump motor attached to the 480v electrical panel in the maintenance department, resetting the 480v breaker for the cyclone located in Cell 5 in the OEM, when trouble shooting a 480v air handler and when troubleshooting a 480v control panel for a condensing unit for the EPBL 1 Buffer Room.
