29 CFR 1910.134(k)(2): Training was not conducted in a manner that was understandable to the employees: (a) On or about May 22, 2018, the employer did not provide training to employees regarding the voluntary use of respirators that they were able to understand. Employees believed that respirators were required, based on instruction provided by their shift supervisor. Management did not train a Spanish speaking supervisor or Spanish speaking employees in a manner that was understandable to them regarding the voluntary use of respirators. Workers were exposed to undue physiological and psychological stresses that may have put employees at risk of health effects.
