29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2)(iii): Monthly inspections of hooks, with a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and the serial number, or other identifier, of the hook inspected, were not performed: (a) Yard - On April 5, 2018, the employer did not conduct a monthly inspection of the Sessco crane serial #NS18-0410000009 crane's hooks. The monthly inspection should include a certification record which identifies the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and the serial number, or other identifier of the hook being inspected. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
