29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables are not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points: a) The employer, West Side Fabrication, LLC, does not ensure that flexible cords and cables are protected from damage by sharp edges of a metal wall hole. On or about March 6, 2018 and at times prior, employees were exposed to electrical hazards while working inside the metal building where flexible cords passed through holes in metal walls between the interior and exterior of the building to provide power to evaporative coolers on the east side of the building. The sharp edges of the metal wall could cause damage to the cords. West Side Fabrication, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1261379, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2d, and was affirmed as a final order on February 7, 2018, with respect to the same power cords at the same workplace located at 2120 Naegele Road, Colorado Springs, CO.
