29 CFR 1915.74(a)(1): The employer permitted employees to board or leave a vessel by using a gangway with less than 20 inches walking surface, of adequate strength, maintained in safe repair, and safely secured: USS Harkness, Yard 1, at the slip side wall a non-secured gangway was used by employees to access the vessel. Employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 6 feet.
