29 CFR 1910.1025(i)(4)(iii): Employee(s) exposed to lead in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL), without regard to the use of respirators, were not required to wash their hands and face prior to eating, drinking, smoking or applying cosmetics. a) H Hansen Industries located on the Lewis J Kuber Barge docked at 600 Millard Avenue Oregon, OH, 43616, on or about March 24, 2017 the employer did not ensure that employees, conducting welding operations within the Lewis J Kuber barge and who were exposed to lead above the PEL without regards to the use of respirators wash their hands and face prior eating and drinking. Overexposure to lead can cause anemia, weakness, and kidney and brain damage.
