29 CFR 1910.1026(d)(1): The employer with a workplace or work operation covered by this standard did not determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure for each employee exposed to chromium (VI): (a) Employees welding stainless steel were not evaluated as to their exposure to hexavalent chromium, a carcinogenic form of chromium created in the welding fumes. The employer did not make this determination in accordance with neither paragraph (d)(2), the scheduled monitoring option, nor paragraph (d)(3), the performance-oriented option.
