29 CFR 1910.219(b)(1): Flywheel(s) with parts seven feet or less above floor(s) or platform(s) were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(b)(1)(i) through (b)(1)(iv)(a): (a) Employees were exposed to amputation hazards. The flywheel for the Alva Allen Mechanical Model BT12 part revolution power press in the Crank Shaft Area was not adequately guarded. The flywheel was not fully guarded within seven feet of the floor. (b) Employees were exposed to amputation hazards. The vertical band saws in the Shear Shop both had a portion of the flywheel which was unguarded. The flywheel was not fully guarded within seven feet of the floor.
